How Many Seasons of Blue Bloods Are There on Netflix
'Blue Bloods' Fans Lash Out After It's Removed From Netflix: "I'm Canceling My Membership"
Welcome to the PBBONE: the post-Blue Bloodson Netflix era. Yesterday, CBS police proceduralBlue Bloodswas officially removed from Netflix, leaving many fans desperate for another look at Tom Selleck's mustache. The streaming giant first announced that Seasons 1 to 8 would be leaving a few weeks ago, when they released their What's Leaving Netflix in November 2019 list, but that hasn't stopped angry fans from lashing out at their no-longer-favorite service. "Guess it's time to re-evaluate if we even need to keep Netflix for our family," wrote one particularly upset viewer.
Since it first debuted in 2010,Blue Bloodshas been charming viewers with its gritty police drama and lovable family banter. Now in its tenth season, the CBS series stars Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, and Donnie Wahlberg as members of a law enforcement family. Selleck's Frank Reagan, the patriarch, serves as the New York City Police Commissioner, while his children work as police officers (Wahlberg and Estes) and as an assistant district attorney (Moynahan's Erin Reagan). Throughout its decade-long run, Blue Bloodshas remained one of the most popular shows on cable, and it currently boasts an 89% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes.
While many viewers watchBlue Bloodson CBS proper, the police procedural has also found success on streaming. Netflix doesn't release viewership information for licensed content, but a quick scroll through Twitter suggests that tons of people have watched Blue Bloods in the five years since it's been on Netflix… and almost all of them are mad that it was removed on Tuesday, November 5. While Netflix did announce the departure in advance, many fans were still shocked to see that Selleck's mustachioed police commissioner was gone for good. "Hey Netflix is there ANY reason why you would take Blue Blood off OVERNIGHT when I was just watching it last night?" tweeted one fan. "They took Blue Bloods off Netflix. I'm cancelling my membership," added another.
Blue Bloods fans shouldn't despair quite yet. While Blue Bloods is no longer on Netflix, it's available to stream on a variety of other platforms, including Hulu (Seasons 1 to 9) and Amazon Prime Video (Seasons 1 to 6). If you want to stay up to date with the drama, you can also stream every single episode — including Season 10 episodes — on CBS All Access. Subscriptions start at just $5.99 (or a $9.99 commercial-free option), and the service offers a seven-day free trial for new subscribers.
